Our First Norway Spruce
December 5, 2011 - This past weekend, we drove out to the Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm and took home our first Norway Spruce.
It has beautiful strong branches and soft needles. Not too fragrant though. Guess you can’t have everything.
This year, we top the tree with Poco’s hat. Our very special “star.”
So here we are! Ready for Christmas! Finally!

Minny's Chocolate Pie
A to-die-for recipe from Minny Jackson (The Help).
1 ½ cups sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (5 1/2) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 package of rolled pie crust (found in the dairy case)
